Students and staff from Gersh Academy kept a Gersh Family tradition alive for Mr. Gersh's birthday. A note from Mr. Gersh:
"Traditions keep special memories from our past alive. My mother's birthday was in the summertime and I remember every year her handing out lollipops to all 2,000 of her kids at West Hills Day Camp. I can still see the smiles on their faces and hers. I want to continue this tradition, so today on my birthday I bought a lollipop for each of my children. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives! You are all so special to me."
Gersh Autism will assume full operational and financial responsibility for the day and boarding schools at Crotched Mountain serving children and adults on the autism spectrum effective November 1, 2020, the date when they were slated to close.
