T is one of Gersh Academy’s shining stars. He started school at Gersh Academy in the 2017-2018 school year at the age of 19. I will never forget meeting him for the first time. He came off the bus and seemed very shy and nervous but was extremely polite and engaging. He’s a quiet guy, yet those who get to know him soon come to discover that he is super funny and one of the most caring and helpful individuals around.
This student really broke out of his shell this year. He dressed up as Santa during the holiday season and he traveled around the building visiting classrooms and singing holiday songs with children of all ages. He is extremely creative and has an amazing artistic gift. He enjoys working with computers and plans to study computer repair and technology. He also works with the maintenance team one period a day on various projects around the building. He can always be counted on to lend a helping hand.
This student has truly blossomed during his two years at Gersh Academy and he will be graduating this year with a Regents Diploma which he worked extremely hard for. We are all so proud of him and wish him every bit of success. He certainly has a bright future ahead of him!
